Getting too confident? SFS Confidence level above 100% since May 17th

Looking at my SFS log (running from MyBB) that the confidence levels went from 90-100% to 180-190% on May 17th. Since MyBB only allows a max of 100%, our forum would be rejecting people who would have only reached 50% previously?

Hello !

Well, is it that SFS gives a false confidence, or is it that your SFS MyBB plugin gives an erroneous result ?

Honestly, I never saw SFS confidence value bigger than 100% !
But I must say that I very (very very) rarely need to verify the confidence level from SFS database ...

I didn't know you needed to lol my confidence in SFS has always been 100% !

The problem I have with this is that the confidence level I can set in my BB only goes up to 100%. Since everything seems to have doubled, any one with a real confidence level of 50 % is rejected, so we may be be rejecting fairly legit users (and I see a few repeating attempts that could be it...)

Take one of the data items that shows an incorrect confidence in your plugin (an IP perhaps) and call the API from a browser to see what you get.  That will tell you if it's an issue with your plugin or with the SFS API itself... if it's the latter, Pedigree should be notified.

Use the following URI:  http://www.stopforumspam.com/api?ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx&xmldom replacing xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx with the IP of an entry your board shows an incorrect confidence.  You could use username=xxxxx or email=xxxxx if it's one of those instead of an IP.

Irs not possible to get a score over 100. Even blacklisted ips only get a 99.95.   Can you give an example where you're seeing 180 so that I can try to figure out what's going wrong?

(notice how things change in the evening of May 17th (and no, AFAIK I didn't update MyBB...) (I'll spare you the full log, but all confidence before that date were <100%, and most after that data are in the 180-200 range).

Normally I only ask for email and IP, checking the required forum handle had too many false positives.
